The Story So Far

Laura founded the company in Taunton nine years ago, after leaving her career in teaching. Pete joined her not long afterwards, and they have seen the company grow from strength to strength each year, with Ginine joining the company to help increase capacity as the number of clients increased. The profile of clients also rose, with companies like Burgess Yachts and the England and Wales Cricket Board.

In early 2021, it was decided to expand the business by opening a new branch in Exeter. Since appointing Andi Davies in August 2021 to head up the branch, a raft of new clients has led to the appointment of two additional team members in the form of Clare and Michela, and Introtweet have recently started working with a number of large institutions, such as Exeter University, Exeter College, and supporting the first team players at Exeter Chiefs with their own companies outside of rugby.

Can you outline the services that your company provides?

The majority of what we do is Social Media Management- creating content on a daily basis for close to 100 clients nationwide. What really sets us apart is that we view our role as joining the company that hires us, rather than being strictly an “outsource” agency. We want to help businesses show their personality, forming a relationship where we can showcase their expertise and the “behind the scenes” content which puts the “social” into their social media content.

We also provide training and workshops, meaning that organisations can learn skills from us to put into practise themselves. These are totally bespoke, and feedback from our sessions is unanimously 5-star rated!

“The Introtweet Way” was established in 2021, as a way for us to give a helping hand to those who need it most. This comes in two forms: firstly, providing free social media training to those who need it most – charities, CICs, not-for-profits, or even individuals whose businesses are struggling. Secondly, we host monthly events (#TweetOverCoffee) where visitors receive social media updates and tips. These events are always run free of charge, but in exchange for a donation to a sponsored charity. In the past, this has benefitted: Stand Against Violence, The Arc Foundation, and The Amber Project, and soon to be run in aid of InFocus and The Exeter Chiefs Foundation.

What does your average day look like?

There is no normal day for any of our team as we need to adapt and respond to the needs of the businesses that we manage for or are undertaking training with – however, we all spend plenty of time creating attractive graphics, crafting copy, and engaging with content in order to ensure it performs well. Otherwise, we may well have clients visit our office for meetings, training sessions, or we may well be on the road to networking events or running workshops on site for larger companies.
