You don’t have to be in crisis to want to talk things through. Counselling can be life changing because having space to talk about how you feel is never a waste of time but feeling anxious, depressed or unhappy is. I provide support for all areas of mental health for individuals and couples but with a focus on neurodiversity. You talk, I listen and together we find a new way of being.

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained to Doctoral level, specialising in work with infants, children and young people up to the age of 25; their parents or carers, and any professional network that might be supporting a child or family. I work with verbal and non-verbal communications and I provide play materials for children and can offer art materials or sensory resources for those who benefit from or are interested in these things, alongside talk. I work both in the NHS and independently.
I offer 50-minute appointments, usually on a once weekly basis, and I am glad to offer an initial conversation without charge for up to 20 minutes to consider together whether my way of working might be helpful to you or your child and family.

Are you fed up with struggling through life, wishing things were different? I can help you to explore issues without judgement, away from the noise of everyday life and with the reassuring company of a gentle dog (Merlin).

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, so my aim is to provide a calm, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected and accepted as you are.
I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of your thoughts, feelings and patterns in a way that feels meaningful and empowering. I do not see clients as needing to be “fixed”; instead, I support self-understanding, self-compassion and personal growth. I offer a free initial consultation.

Whether we are in psychological crisis or just confused, our identity and our understanding of it is often at the heart of our interactions and how we feel about ourselves. This is why whoever you are, and whatever you are bringing you can feel safe with me – your core self need not feel shame. Whether you are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, struggling with relationships or simply feel lost in a world that doesn’t appear to have a space for you, I can help. My work centres around identifying how our past impacts on our present, how patterns of behaviours become the default and answering the questions of “Who am I?” and “Where do I fit?” Before becoming a psychological therapist, I had over 25 years experience working with autism & ADHD as educator, coach and mentor, and this helps to inform the work I do today. I operate in private practice as an ADHD/Autism Coach, Integrative Psychological Therapist and Education Consultant for SEND and EOTAS families, and happily attend TAF meetings and offer INSET training to schools as part of my wider work

Alda specialises in accompanying individuals who feel suffocated by a traumatic past, helping them learn from these experiences and leave them behind. As a creative supervisor, she sits (or moves) beside therapists that wish to grow and fulfil their full professional potential and runs creative supervision groups. Trained to a Masters level in Integrative Psychotherapy, with further training in trauma and holistic methods, she uses a trauma-informed approach that combines IFS-inspired parts work, creative methods, and energy psychology (EFT tapping, chakra clearing, PEP), alongside active imagination and body process. On the outside, you seem fine – calm, capable, holding it all together. But inside, it’s a different story. I work with adults and young people who are silently battling with pressure, anger, or a sense that something is missing from their lives.
Many of the people I work with describe a feeling of living behind a mask, smiling, coping, keeping up appearances, while privately trying to combat anxiety, low mood, grief, or a sense of disconnection. If that resonates with you, you’re not alone. I can help.
Whether you’re going through a life transition, carrying unresolved pain, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a warm, confidential space where you can be yourself – no filters, no expectations.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and having space to talk can make a real difference. I offer a calm, welcoming environment where you can explore difficult emotions, life challenges and experiences such as anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, major life changes or other struggles, supporting you to understand patterns, process feelings and find ways to move forward.
Alongside my counselling work, I have a background in community mental health and suicide bereavement support. I also have a special interest in working with people living with, or struggling with, diabetes and the emotional impact of managing a long-term condition. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on different therapeutic approaches and adapt the way I work to suit each individual. If you would like to arrange a short telephone call to see if I am the right person to help you, please feel free to email me.

I support people through the moments in life that feel difficult, overwhelming, or uncertain. Whether you’re facing a specific change, navigating a challenging period, or struggling to accept a reality you can’t alter, I offer a space where you can explore, adapt, and find steadier ground. My work also focuses on helping you strengthen your relationship with yourself and with others.
I don’t believe you need to change who you are – your “youness” is what makes you unique. Instead, therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply: what has shaped you, why you respond the way you do, and how certain patterns or habits may be keeping you stuck. From there, real change becomes possible – in how you think, feel, behave, and cope.
Whether you’re dealing with a current issue or crisis, or you’re ready to break long‑standing cycles that no longer serve you, I work alongside you to help you move toward the life you want. You have the power to make meaningful changes; my role is to support and guide you as you do.

Hi I’m Laura, I work with people who find it hard to connect with their emotions, who feel stuck in looping thoughts, or caught in fight, flight, freeze or fawn. People who feel like they’ve lost themselves somewhere along the way – and are ready to gently find their way back.
I am trained in Reiki, Sound healing, crystal healing, and Sacred Somatic journeys. I have National Diploma in Care and am trauma informed. My work is intuitive, weaving these modalities together to meet you exactly where you are. This is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. A space to soften, to feel, to release, and to reconnect with your true self.
If you feel called, I offer a free phone consultation. Sessions are available as 1, 1.5 or 2 hours journeys.
